"Listen earnestly to anything [your children] want to tell you, no matter what. If you don't listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big, because to them all of it has always been big stuff." - Catherine M. Wallace

New Year's Resolution update
So by now most people have dropped their resolutions so I thought I'd check in with mine. I feel that I've done a good job. Except for the 1 month of no junk food. I lasted 5 days. And I think I'm going to throw that one out the window. I've decided to allow myself junk food but in moderation. I have discovered fat free sugar free instant pudding and I am in heaven! Jacob and I have not missed a date night yet. This weekend we are going to a hockey game. Our first! I'm doing much better at keeping up with the housework. My fitness goals of running the triathlon and improving my 5k time are going well. I can register on the 1st for the triathlon. I'm going to the gym 4-6 times per week and have started switching up my routine. I love how I feel when I workout. I was a very active child/teenager and it feels so good to be getting back into that. So here's to more success in this coming year!

Awesome!!! You are doing so great! Wish I could say the same. Unfortunately, pregnancy changed all my plans. I have literally been in bed since the first week of the new year. No cleaning (people are even bringing us meals), too sick for real date nights (though we did get one good one in), and I am reading scriptures but am waaay behind. Today I actually blow dried my hair and put in contacts for the first time in 8 weeks, so I feel like things will start looking up soon. :) Still, really proud of you!
Dang Roxanne! Are you this sick with all your pregnancies? I feel so bad for you! I hope your labors are short to make up for the sickness!
Yes, I have been sick with all my pregnancies, but it seems like it is getting worse with each one. I do tend to have short labors with no real complications, so that is a plus. The thing is that epidurals terrify me so I have my kids naturally, and I am still a bit traumatized from Amelia. She came SO fast that her face was all bruised and everything when she came out weighing 9 lbs 2 oz. It was not a pleasant experience for either of us, I don't think. Plus, this time around Joe is going to be in Afghanistan when the baby is born. :( And my mom can't get time off work to come out, so I'm not quite sure what the plan is. Haha, just a litany of complaints here! Sorry about that. Um, babies are delightful! :)
Dang! I'd totally come out and help! It would be a great excuse to ditch the kids and see you. That totally stinks that Joe is going to be gone. How many more deployments does he have? When are you due? Let me know what I can do!
