Being "Real"

Last night I was hanging out with some of my best friends and we got into this discussion about being real. It's so easy to look at someone and think they have it all together. People can put on a very good front, myself included. We talked about how much better it would be if we could just all be open and honest about our personal struggles. Wouldn't that be amazing?? I know for me a HUGE weight would be lifted off of my chest. I have people come up and tell me that they are just amazed with Jacob and I and our little family. I keep thinking if only you knew what was really going on. You wouldn't be jealous of us or have us on this high pedestal. There are times when it takes all I have to put on a happy face. And it's not because I have this need to look all perfect and with it. It's because I don't want people feeling sorry for me or drawing more attention to the problem. I wish we lived in a world where people weren't so judgmental and didn't try to fix everything that was broken (or in some cases not broken). We ALL have struggles, some a bigger than others. Some weigh heavier on the soul and break you much quicker. I look forward to the day when there will be peace again, where there won't be anyone judging me.

Someday hopefully soon this burden that we bare will be lifted and we won't have to deal with it anymore. My point in this post is to just say you NEVER know the full story of a persons life so don't put yourself down because some one appears to have it more together than you do. I know we are not alone in our struggle and whatever your struggle may be you are not alone either.
