Am I turning crafty?

So I've never been the crafty sort of person. I grew up with some pretty crafty girls as best friends and never got bitten by the bug. I started going to enrichment activities as a married woman and started to like doing fun crafty things as long as it was in a group and I had a finished product to copy. Well, lately I've been wanting to have my own artistic flair. I was looking through blogs, you now just clicking on a blog and then clicking on one of their links etc etc and came across this crafty blog. I am so excited to do some of the projects this lady has! My first project is going to be a canvas wall hanging like the one I saw on her blog. I have always liked canvas wall hangings but have never wanted to shell out the money to buy them. Since I'm having another little girl I thought it would be fun to do some of these for her's and Emma's room.

My vision is to either do favorite scenes from Emma's favorite books, or do an alphabet thing. What I mean by alphabet thing is have 4 different canvases, each with one letter of Emma's and Linnea's names with a picture of something that starts with that letter. For example, "E" would have an elephant cut out on it with a cute background. Does this make any sense? Anyway, I'm super excited about this whole canvas project and can't wait to have some extra cash to do it. Tell me what you think!
