Brrrrrr! It's cold out here!

There is DEFINITELY some ice in the atmosphere! I can't believe how flipping cold it is! This morning it was -3 and the high is only 10! It going to be like that the whole rest of the week and into next week. Of course we don't have any snow boots or Emma or for me so playing out in the white stuff is just not going to happen. It's really pretty to look at and I love having the snow around but I really could do without the frigid cold! There is always something positive about every situation that you are in and in this case because it's so cold the icy roads aren't as my dad would say "slick as snot". For that I am grateful.

Last night the power went out on our street and a few other places too. Funny thing is is that the side of the street that we live on all had power. It was just the opposite side that didn't. The power went out at 10:30pm and came back on at 4:30am. Talk about the coldest part of the night! It was trippy looking out and seeing our street so dark. Everyone has their porch light on at night and I never noticed how much that lit up our street!

I hope you are all staying warm in your homes. I am missing Colorado where we had free heat in the winter and I could crank up the temp. to 85 and not feel guilty. We are leaving on Sunday or Monday to go over to Port Orchard for Christmas and probably won't be coming back until January 2nd or 3rd. It might even be later if I don't get in and get into the substitute orientation right away (like it's happening tomorrow). Jacob won't have work for at least 2 weeks starting Monday but luckily he gets 3 days of holiday pay next week so that will bring in some money!

Stay warm out there!
